EVENT MAKEUP, EDITORIAL MAKEUP AND MAKEUP LESSONS
*Please read through carefully before making your booking. Upon booking and paying a booking fee, the client agrees to Laura’s terms & conditions.
BOOKINGS
General makeup bookings for special occasions and events can be made up to 6 months in advance. A 50% booking fee is required upon booking. Once your payment has been received your date is secure. The remaining 50% is due 7 days prior to your appointment.
TRAVEL | ADDITIONAL CHARGES
For most special occasion/event makeups, generally Laura works from a studio located in Central Sydney. A travel fee is applied when traveling to a client. Travel fees by car are determined by the distance between Laura’s house and your location, return.
Additional travel fees may apply such as:
Flights
Ferry tickets
Taxis / Uber
Parking
FLIGHTS
If flights are required Laura will book them at the clients expense. Flight pricing is not within Laura’s control. Laura will provide the client with a quoted price. Laura holds no responsibility for any increase in the flight costs from when quoted and booking. Flight costs are to be paid in full as part of the initial booking fee.
CANCELLATIONS
If the client wishes to cancel their appointment, they must notify Laura within 24 - 48hrs before their appointment. The client can either reschedule or receive a full refund. Any clients who fail to show up at the time of their booking agrees to lose their booking fee. Laura does understand that personal emergencies can happen, so refunds may apply on a case by case basis.
CANCELLATION BY LAURA
If Laura is unwell or showing Covid-19 symptoms on the date of the client’s booking and has to cancel, she will do her best to find a replacement makeup artist for her client. If however, Laura cannot provide the client with a replacement makeup artist then the client is subject to a refund.
PHOTOS / SOCIAL MEDIA
Laura reserves the right to take photos and videos of any of the clients make-up applications, and may use any such photos for promotional and/or commercial purposes with the clients permission.
AFTER HOURS FEE
After hours fees occur when the job requires an early start. Depending on what time you need to be ready by, Laura will make the appropriate choice of what time to arrive.
HEALTH
If the client is visibly sick and hasn’t disclosed this information, Laura has the right to not complete the booking. Laura is immunocompromised so cannot risk working on unwell clients.
WEDDING BOOKINGS
*Please read through carefully before making your booking. Upon booking and paying a booking fee, the client agrees to Laura’s terms & conditions.
To secure your wedding date a $150 booking fee is to be paid. Once your booking fee has been received, your booking is confirmed. This is a non refundable fee and will cover the cost of your makeup trial.
DEPOSITS
Booking fee: $150 (NON REFUNDABLE) - covers the cost of makeup trial 50% of the invoice due within 7 days after trial.
Remaining 50% of the invoice due 30 days prior to wedding date.
Any wedding bookings that are made within one month or less of the wedding date do require the invoice paid in full as a non refundable booking fee payment to confirm and secure the booking.
CANCELLATIONS/CHANGES
Once the booking fee has been paid there are no allowances for any reduction of makeup applications. If the client wishes to remove someone from the original booking after the booking fee has been paid the service fee still applies. If there are to be any additional makeup applications Laura will be accommodating where possible. If the client cancels their booking with Laura within 6 months of the wedding date, they agree to lose their non refundable booking fee. If the client cancels within 30 days of the wedding date, the original 50% of the invoice paid will be used as a cancellation fee.
All bookings are non transferable. If the client postpones the wedding date and wishes to rebook a new date with Laura, they will need to pay a new booking fee., If Laura is unavailable for the new date the client agrees to lose the non refundable booking fee.

This does not include a refund for the trial as this is a separate service which has already been completed.

If any of the bridal party are visibly sick and haven’t disclosed this information, Laura has the right to not complete the makeup application on them. Laura is immunocompromised so cannot risk working on unwell clients.
COVID-19
Due to the government requirements and being a close contact business, vaccine certificates are required from EVERYONE getting their makeup done whilst we are in the red and orange traffic light system. Proof of vaccination is needed, either by printing out your vaccine passport or downloading it on your phone. Unfortunately if someone cannot provide me with their vaccine passport I cannot provide my makeup service for them. By law I am required to abide by these new rules, I am at risk of being penalized if I operate without this information from my clients.
Laura has been fully vaccinated as of October 31st 2021 and boosted as of February 14th 2022.
